Ayurvedic Yoga

Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine that rises from the core concept that our Being and everything in our Universe is composed of five basic elements; Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. These elements combine to create the doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) which each have their own qualities. Our unchanging individual constitution is affected by our ever changing environment, seasons and experiences.

I work with clients to develop a flowing, responsive lifestyle that is filled with nurturing dietary habits and mindfulness practices that champion your most authentic (doshic) nature.

ayurveda is a sister philosophy to yoga. It is the science of life or longevity and it teaches us about the power and the cycles of nature, as well as the elements.

~Christy Turlington

Ayurveda recognizes that our energy, intention and well-being are affected by the time of day, season and environment as well as diet and lifestyle choices.

The goal of Ayurveda is not to judge behaviors as good or bad or become more of something you are not, but rather to understand your most authentic nature and live in such a way that supports your Being to thrive in balanced flow.

Private Ayurvedic yoga sessions are available by appointment.
